Go Rockets!
I do enjoy basketball. I like watching college hoops, especially March madness. At home we all fill out our bracket and then cheer or grumble as our teams win or loss.
I like watching high school basketball even more. This year the Cedar Grove-Belgium boys team advanced to sectionals. Wow, there is nothing like high school sports. On every game night one team wins, the other is done for the year. While some teams seem to dominate over a span of several years, all it takes is one bad game and that team goes home.
I hope the 2008-09 Cedar Grove-Belgium students and parents realize what a special year this has been. The football team goes to state, the soccer team plays in the semi finals, three wrestlers go to state (Brandon taking second, denied by very unfortunate events), the cross country teams going to state with Josh finishing an undefeated year. Now the basketball team getting in on the glory.
What a thrill to be part of a community that supports individuals and teams. GO ROCKETS!
