Q and A

I believe in God and I live a good life, isn’t that enough?

What we believe to be good and what God knows to be good are two entirely different things.  We think that we are being good but we have all sinned and fall short of meeting God’s standards (Romans 3:22-24 “ 22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus”).  What do you consider good?  Are you better than your neighbor, your coworker or some of your friends, but worse than others?  How do you know if your good enough, where is the line?  The fact of the matter is that none of us are good enough.

Who of us can say that we have not sinned even once?  There was only one man on this earth that was sinless and that was Jesus.  He said that He is the only way to get to heaven (John 14:6” 6 Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me.”).  We must accept Him as our Lord and Savior or face the consequences of not getting into heaven.  Even the devil knows that God exists but that is not going to bring about his salvation. No, just believing that there is a God is not enough, you must also come to know Jesus as your personal savior because he is the only bridge between earth and heaven.
