Faith Care Groups

The goal of the Faith Care Groups is to connect each member of the church with the body of Christ through care, prayer, and fellowship.  Care groups lend support to each other in times of need and in times of celebration. Our Faith congregation is divided into six groups, each of which include an Elder, a Deacon, two fellowship leaders, and two prayer captains.  The prayer captains activate the congregational prayer chain through these groups when special prayer requests are received.  Groups may also provide meals, gifts, or other support for their members in times of special need, such as: a death in the family or a special time of rejoicing upon the arrival of a newborn.  Each group also takes turns hosting, baking, and serving at congregational events.

Care Connection

While our care groups seek to nurture the spiritual growth of our congregation, the goal of the Care Connection is discipleship toward all of God’s people in the caring of one another, both within and beyond our immediate fellowship.  Its mission is to facilitate the process of connecting those with immediate physical needs with those among us who are able to meet those needs, as we have been commanded. The objectives of the Care Connection are to:

  • Identify needs within our congregation and our community.
  • Identify and encourage members, care groups, and organizations at Faith who are capable and willing to help fulfill those needs.
  • Provide support in fulfilling those needs in a receiver-comfortable and Christ-like manner.
