Governance

Our governing body is our Consistory, made up of the Senior Pastor, six Elders and six Deacons. The Pastor is “called” by the congregation; the call is similar to a contract but in addition shows that we believe it is ultimately God who places a pastor at a church.  Elders and Deacons are nominated from among the congregation’s membership, then elected by the congregation at our annual congregational meeting.

The Executive Committee of Consistory is made up of the four officers of the Consistory:

President (Senior Pastor)

Vice President (an Elder, elected by the Consistory)

Clerk (an Elder, elected by the Consistory)

Chairman of the Deacons (a Deacon, elected by the Deacons)

The Executive Committee may act on behalf of the Consistory between scheduled Consistory meetings.
