Approach to Worship
“Praise the LORD, all nations! Extol him, all peoples! For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD!” (Psalm 117).
“We worship God because God created us to worship him. Worship is at the center of our existence, at the heart of our reason for being (Hughes Oliphant Old).
Worship is our response to whatever we consider of supreme value or worth. As Christians, we consider God to be the only worthy object of our lives and praise. He has made us for His glory, redeemed us from sin in Christ, and promises to bring us to Himself forever. And even now, He meets with us by His Word and Spirit as we gather together in corporate worship. Every Sunday, we believe that we are really meeting with God as we hear His Word and respond to Him throughout our service. In His presence, we seek to declare His worth as our God and Savior, and He works through His Word to comfort, encourage, convict, and build us up as His people.
