Worship

We gather at 9:00 every Sunday for worship, and our service is open to any who would like to join us in worship, or just see what it means to worship the living God through Jesus Christ.

At Faith Reformed, we believe that our children are a gift from God and not a distraction to our worship. We encourage you to keep your children with you during the service.

Nursery care is provided for 0-3 year olds during the service.

Equip for Worship is intended to better equip children ages 3-5 to understand and participate in the church’s worship. Children attend the first portion of the service with their families and they may be excused prior to the sermon to attend Equip for Worship, which lasts approximately 30 minutes and involves a Bible lesson, a song and/or craft, and prayer.

Approach to Worship

“Praise the LORD, all nations! Extol him, all peoples! For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD!” (Psalm 117).

“We worship God because God created us to worship him. Worship is at the center of our existence, at the heart of our reason for being (Hughes Oliphant Old).

Worship is our response to whatever we consider of supreme value or worth. As Christians, we consider God to be the only worthy object of our lives and praise. He has made us for His glory, redeemed us from sin in Christ, and promises to bring us to Himself forever. And even now, He meets with us by His Word and Spirit as we gather together in corporate worship. Every Sunday, we believe that we are really meeting with God as we hear His Word and respond to Him throughout our service. In His presence, we seek to declare His worth as our God and Savior, and He works through His Word to comfort, encourage, convict, and build us up as His people.

This pattern of hearing and responding is reflected throughout our service as we enter into conversation with God in worship:

Through it all, God intends to meet with us, bless us, and even change us by His grace so that we would know Him, enjoy Him, and go into the world to live for His glory.
